Attractions and location
If you need help with the logistics of your booking, do let us know well in advance via WhatsApp, we can advise you about the fast boat ferries and the easiest way for you to reach the island
We are happy to arrange meetings with graphic designer Are Andreassen, who has a studio five minutes' walk from the Arctic Hideaway. AreA creates graphic prints together with you, while he magically draws you into conversations as if you've known each other all your life. Hanging your own art on the wall when you get home is also a great key to the nice processes that have been going on this week.
Many of life’s simple pleasures here do not require planning; we have sea bathing from the sauna quay, strolls to the beaches, the whole island is about 2km long. The walking path on the island is approx. two kilometres long, and is a lovely walk.
Our rowing boat can also be a beautiful way to get around the archipelago slowly
We can arrange guides for you to climb nearly 1000m to the peak of Sandhornet for sweeping and sublime views of Nordland.
We can also arrange boat trip to the crazy beaches in Gildeskål, not to mention Nord-Fugløy with a 200 meter flying sand hill up the mountain, an eerie and beautiful natural phenomenon.
On Saturday’s during summer, the locals host a waffle & beer café at the community hall.
Check in at 6 pm every day except monday*. Checkout: 10:00AM, according to the boat schedules.
NB: no check in Saturdays
NB: earlier check in possible with own / chartered boat
*Please contact me before you make your flight arrangements / Saturdays and Sundays are very limited.
